高野時計（巴時計） 1899~1924… 現在 日本 名古屋 Nagoya・Japan
明治時代から大正時代にかけて、多くの時計会社がつくられ、外国製、特にアメリカ製を手本にして多くの日本製時計がつくられました。この時計もそんな中の一台です。
1899（明治32）年、高野小太郎が名古屋で高野時計製造所を創設、1924（大正13）年に高野精密工業株式会社に、その後昭和19年の戦災により焼失しましたが、高野時計製造所は復興され、時計の製造が再開されました。現在のリコー時計は、高野時計が前身になります。
この時計は、大正末期から昭和初頭につくられた一台と思われます。
本機が我が家にやって来た頃（約20年前）は、商標マークの不一致などから、部品を寄せ集めた柱時計だと思っていました。しかしよく調べてみたら、文字盤、文字盤のガラス・振り子室のガラス（両方ともゆらゆらガラス）、トレードマークのない機械など、全てが立派なオリジナルであることが分かりました。
Many clock companies and factories were established from the Meiji Period (1868~1912) to the Taisho Period (1912~ 1926), and many Japanese clocks were made modeled after foreign clocks, especially American clocks.This clock is one of them.
1899(Meiji32), Takano Kotaro established Takano Clock Factory in Nagoya, and 1924(Taisho13), the factory became to be Takano precision Industry Co., Ltd. After that, in 1944(Showa19), it was burned down in the war. After a while, Takano Clock Factory was reconstructed and restarted manufacturing clocks.
The predecessor of the current Richo Clock (Watch)Co.,Ltd is the Takano Clock Factory.
It is seemed that this clock was made around 1926.
When this clock came to my home(about 20 years ago), I thought that the clock was assembled by jumbled parts of the different makers, judging from the different trademarks on the dial from the one in the pendulum house. But it became clear that this clock was completely original, investigating closely (the dial, the dial glass, the glass of the pendulum house(both are rippling), and the machine without any trademark, and so on.

この時計は、文字盤には巴商会時計製造所の「三羽鶴」の商標が、そして振り子室のラベルには高野時計製造所の商標があります。二つの商標以外に、他にはメーカーの名前などは一切書かれていません。
この時計を入手した時には、高野時計の文字盤だけ変えられている、と思っていましたが、どうもこの組み合わせでオリジナルのようです。なぜなら、他にもこの組み合わせの柱時計が時々見られるのと、高野時計の商標と共に、写真のような背張りがある時計も存在するからです。
両時計製造所で分担して製造・販売した柱時計の一台かも知れません。もし、このあたりのことをご存じの方は、教えていただければ幸いです。
機械は、高野時計のそれと類似しています。
As you see, the dial has the trademark of “Tomoe Clock Factory” on it. And the label in the pendulum house has the trademark of “Takano Clock Factory”. Because this clock has no word concerning what to show the factory, I thought that only the dial had been changed, when I got this clock.
But this combination seems to be the original. Because we can see some other clocks that have this combination, and in addition to the combination, we can see the clocks whose label on the back which shows “Tomoe Clock Factory” and its trademark.
It is supposed that the both factories shared making and selling the clocks. This clock might be one of them.
If someone knows well about this, please tell me it.

振り竿の板バネが壊れていたので、これも修理しました。
The pendulum rod leaf spring had been broken, too, I also repaired it.
時間列のゼンマイ切れと、振り竿の板バネ切れを除けば、特に問題のある所はありませんでした。ほぞ穴も修理の必要はありませんでした。後、50年は生けそうです。 いや、それ以上かな！
There was no problematic place except the broken time train spring and the broken leaf spring of the pendulum rod. It was not needed mortise repairing. It would be alive at least another 50years. No, it’s more than that !
機械部分は、オーソドックスなアメリカ型です。
左は高野の機械、右はウオーターベリーの機械ですが、ほとんど同じです。（細部では少し違います）

振り子室に金色で描かれた花の絵は、今もきれいに残っています。

スプリングが切れるまで、何年もキッチンで使っていましたが、十分実用的です。いつものように八分巻き・3日間調べで、やはり１日１分以内（15秒程度かな）の誤差です。
We had been using this for years in the kitchen, until the spring broke down. It is enough to use practically. As usual, I checked the clock in 80 percent winding, for three days, and the average error was less than 1 minute a day. (Maybe about fifteen seconds a day)
