Junghans is too famous for talking about old clocks .It might be no exaggeration to say that Junghans is synonymous with the luxury clocks in the Meiji Period in Japan. Junghans Co. is still active now. I hear that this Junghans was purchased and used in a country house in the Meiji Period, but it had been stored up for a long time, and it was taken out to overhauled. If it is adjusted sometimes, it is still ticking accurately. This clock is called “Sliegel”, a vertical boxy, typical European type clock.
